Ciao, Italy🇮🇹

I’ve been photographing outside of Finland during the past few years, and it’s really sparked new kind of inspiration in me.

I’ve fallen in love with the Southern Europe’s unbelievably soft and mellow light, like in this photoshoot with the loveliest Alina and Joonas that we did in Spain.<3

and there is just something about the ancient cities with their narrow streets made of stone and lush green vineyards and valleys in the countryside

I’m really excited to be calling Italy my home for a couple of months in the beginning of the coming year.🇮🇹 So if you’re there, especially around Rome, let’s connect! x

Hi there!

I’m Mirella, a documentary wedding and couple photographer from Finland.

My style is a mix of editorial and documentary. I create elegant, emotional and timeless stories of the sparkle in human connection.

Watching the world through heart-shaped glasses is the way for me to go. I find it so important to see the sprinkles of beauty and joy in life – the joke in your favourite comedy show that makes you belly laugh, the subtle touch of your loved one, the little diamonds that twinkle on the crest of a wave on a sunny day. And I wouldn’t do it any other way.

I work in Finland & Europe, and I’ll travel pretty much anywhere you want to take me. I’ve been as far as New Zealand, so there’s really no limit.

I’m so humbled that so many of you have trusted me so far, and I can’t wait to work with so many more of my amazing lovebirds.<3

Had the privilege of second shooting for the amazing @francinephotomachine. The day was full of emotion and T&R were such a lovely couple. Also can’t deal with the mountain & lavender backdrop at the reception!!

We had many outdoor spots planned for A&J’s portraits, but as the wedding day approached, it looked like it was going to rain.

I took some time the previous day to scout for new locations in case it did, and found this café that had an inner yard with huge rain covers.

Turned out that the rain covers cast the softest and most beautiful light! I’d say we got lucky with the rain, hey?
